On September 12 we left for what we thought was going to be a fun filled weekend with the family. Well we did have a lot of fun but we had some rocky times too.
Thursday was family day at MCRD, the first time we got to see Forrest since he entered boot camp. When we woke up that morning our sweet boy had the chicken pox...thank goodness he was vaccinated for them and only had a mild case. So off to MCRD we go to spend the day with Forrest. We had a great lunch with him and just walked around enjoying time with the family.
Friday was Forrest's graduation from boot camp and he is now a United States Marine...we are so proud of him. After graduation we went home and hung out there getting some more stuff together for his party on Saturday. Friday evening we all went to Applebees for dinner...it was awesome tasting as always! We had to leave early as Brayden still wasn't feeling very good. We went back to Gramme and Papa Tom's and gave him a bath and then put him to bed.
Saturday we the day of Forrest party...yippee! In the morning when I woke up my eye was bothering me a little, but I didn't think too much of it. Well by the afternoon my eye was a mess to say the least (come to find out later I had a Corneal Ulcer). In the late afternoon we get a call from our sister-in-law who is watching our animals that our dog Angel has passed away :( We then had to call Robert's sister to see if she could come over and help bury her...thankfully her and Tony were able to) After all that we enjoyed the rest of the night the best we could. We took Brayden to the park and played with him, and then enjoyed every ones company and great food.
Well Sunday came and we had to go home. Thankfully Brayden slept most of the way home. I too tried to rest as my eyes were really bad.
